1 – Watch the video on “Proportional Relationships” and answer:
- a) When are two quantities said to be “directly proportional”?
- b) What is the ratio in Karl’s recipe?
- c) How do we draw line that represents a direct proportion?
- d) Why any line that represents a direct proportion goes through the origin?
- e) Write the ratio, the table and draw the graph for this relationship: when x=3 y=2 ; when x=6 y=4 ; when x=15 y=10 and check that the line goes through the origin.
